Explorations in Economics
Explorations in Economics is an 800-page, AP-level high school textbook written by Alan Krueger, an Obama cabinet member and economic advisor at the time. The illustrator for the project, Joe BelBruno, was already at work so Tom decided to echo his colored pencil drawing style in the graphics—hand-drawn rules, shaded boxes, etc. The result is very friendly, cohesive look that, coupled with very clear navigation, helps to disarm young readers in the face of a daunting subject.
